I had a good response, but I have strep throat and forgot it...so...just pretend I'm clever.

At the doctors office with Lily now. I think she has it too. It's bad enough being sick, but my baby girl being sick is worse. hmm.png

Speak for yourself, Gramps. I'm stronger than I've ever been, have more muscle than I've ever had. Only thing slowing me down is that darn ankle I shattered three years ago, with all its titanium parts (I'm bionic now!) but I refuse to stop moving or I'll turn to stone. Nope, you ain't getting me to commiserate, no sir. You folks just keep on aging, I'll stay right where I am and I'll wave till you limp on out of sight and over the hill. tongue.png

 

 

 

 

Sorry about the strep, Em. I hate sore throats. Those aren't confined to old folks, that's for sure.

Worst part about it is the swelling. I hate that feeling of having something stuck in my throat. Whine, moan, groan, whine, moan, whine.

 I am hearing a lot of strep throat going round in this neck of the woods too.  At least 3 of my kids' families have had it.

For those of you not taking Vitamin D supplements for immunity improvement, I asked my old-guy  endocrinologist what the latest medical recommendations were. He claims the official recommendation of the society of endocrinologists ( or whatever the official name is) is 2,000- 5,000 units a day. ( RDA in vitamins is 400).

At the risk of being accused of practicing medicine without a license, I can say that DH and I have been noticeably healthier since adding the Vit D regimen to the pill collection.

it's either that or run around nekkid for more sunlight on our skin.

 

If I had known a few chickens would make the man THAT happy....
