Chicken eating feathers...

I too am looking for solutions to my chicken feather picken problems. I now have over 300 birds and this problem is happening in several of the coops. I wish it would stop because it is making me crazy. My formerly beautiful roosters, are just that and I have had blood drawn so need to do something soon. I also have feet pickers which is another nasty problem. I am going to order some Bumpa Bits, if I can get them to Canada. I can only find a UK website and have had no luck trying to order from there. I won't be wasting my money on any sprays or body creams as it seems, they don't work. If I can't get the BBs then I will relunctantly have to start culling the problem birds. Thanks for sharing.

Bumpa Bits don't ship to the US? I believe our feather eating issue is related to a nasty red mite infestation that took one of our older hens. It appears that the eater just pecks one hen in particular, but after sending the pecker to quarantine, one of the other bantams now has replaced the previous pecker. ? The mites are a pain to eradicate. Can't go near the coop without getting some on me after doucing with bleach and DE. Much better but still a problem. Wish I knew how the mites got there. Peace!

Any luck finding Bumpa Bits? I can only find them in the UK as well, but suppliers do not want to ship out of the UK.
