So I've never had chickens or ducks before, my dad has but a long time ago and he only had 1 breed- White Leghorns... Im planning to get 2-3 Orpingtons, 2 Silkies, and 2 Pekin or Orpington Ducks. I've done a lot of research on all these breeds and for the most part from peoples reveiws, they seem to be quite Docile and freindly and gets along well with others for the most part. I would be getting them all around a day old, no males. They would all be kept in the same housing, 4'x7.5', still doing renovations so might extend. They will all be kept in a pen at least with 60 square feet of room maybe more. May let the ducks free range once and a while. Im asking lots of questions, so I have success in my first experiance with chicks and ducks.
