first successful hatch!!!!

Had my first successful hatch this weekend. Had 8 out of 18 chicken eggs hatch in my little giant with auto turner. First attempt at chickens. Also had eleven of my quail eggs in too. Once again none of them hatched. The chickens are mixed breed. Got the eggs from a boy at church. Have 18 more that are pure bred eggs that i got from 2 britts (thanks!). Gonna set them tonight. Best part is the wife is now hooked! She watched them hatch all day yesterday. Will post pics soon.

Congratulations. I just had a successful hatch...Started with 10... 5 have successfully hatched and now are in the brooder... 2 are starting to pip (even though 1 out of the 2 is making sound), 1 sadly died this morning and two seem to be duds.... It was my first (and only) hatch.
