New to Chickens and the board

Hello everyone my name is Troy, I live in Springfield Tn. I am in the decision process about which breed/breeds to get and what type of coop i'm going to build. There appears to be alot of good info here on the board. I'm sure i'll have to many questions to ask, please bear with the "new guy".

1 EE , 2 blue Marans, 1 BCWP, 1 Splash Marans, 13 new chicks 3 EE, 2 BLRW,1 Black LRW , 2 Leghorns, 2 Silkies, 2 Exchequers, 1 ?

Google the Henderson Chicken Chart, it is a very good resource for breed research.

thanks for the welcome everyone. i know this isnt the right forum to ask this in but..... would it hurt to have a few  ( think 5 different ) breed hens in with a completely different breed roo? i mean as far as the breeding could it cause problems with the chicks? surely the roo wouldnt be picky about the hen he mated with would he, or would someone freak out because i cross breed something? just curious since i've found 5 different breeds i like alot.
