I'm paranoid of bad water...

I run cold water, filter it, then boil it. I use this filtered boiled water for any cooking. LOL I'm boiling a gallon of water daily.

If I'm not on enough Anxiety meds, I bite/chew my fingers until they bleed. And then a little more. Not the nails, the skin. Been doing it since I was 4. Once, when I was 7, 2 of my fingers got infected and blew up like balloons. They were huge and the nails died and sloughed off. That hasn't happened since, but it gets pretty bad when I am stressed. I take 3 different meds to keep it under control.

Also, I get steamed when I find my husband cooking on the stove with the overhead cupboard doors open (where the spices are). I hate rock hard spices!

I think from the responses here, the ones that say they do nothing odd are really the oddballs.

I'm probably a bit OCD regarding feeding guests and family and friends.  But maybe that's just a southern thing, especially when one is under the weather...do we all try to justify these things???LOL   Just this evening I asked my DD (who has been so ill with an UR virus) while acting out what I envisioned the role would look like, if she thought I was some kind of food-creeper food-stalking her with comfort foods for the last several days. lol.png   She cracks me up when she ROFL but then I had to give her some cough meds...and more comfort food.

Often, in people my age......  cooking something is a gesture of goodwill.  And who doesn't like goodwill?  Our church family cooks meals on a rotation for people who had babies, are in the hospital, are sick at home....  Whatever.  Food must heal all wounds.  Coffee works too.

I fully agree.  Food is innocent. big_smile.png

I once lived with a person that had to painstakingly make sure that all the fringe on the rugs were always perfectly straight, 50 times a day.  Their CD started to give me one...which was messin' up that fringe 50 times a day.

I'm a total neat nick, so parts of that might qualify as somewhat ocd.
