They Have Been Wiggling for Three days!!!!!

 I have two call duck eggs that started wiggling on saturday morning. The suspense is killing me. How long until they atleast pip?

Well, do you know how long they've been brooding for? If they are within a few days of hatch, they are able to move their own eggs. It may be a few hours, or a few days before pipping.

They are in my brinsea mini advance incubator and they were a day early on lockdown. So I immediately uped humidity and locked down. They are on day three of wiggling and still no pipping. Should I worry? I dont want them to suffocate? I am a worry wart!!

Eggs usually wiggle before hatching, but usually not that longs. Leave them for another day before worrying. Whatever you do, though, don't help them hatch. One reason not to help is because opening an incubator will let a lot of harmful drafts in, and the other is because, if the hatchlings can't get out of the eggs on there own, they will die in any circumstance almost unexceptionally.But I wouldn't start worrying just yet. Sometimes worrying makes a problem worse.

They are still wiggling and no pipping!!!!!!!!!!! I am getting very worried!!!!! How long is too long for rocking????????????

Hhhmmm... Theoretecally, they could easily wiggle starting from half way through incubation, but it''s not likely. Mama ducks usually assist duckling with their nails, but ducklings can do it on there own.  They should be pipping soon.

I have been hand turning then since setting them and I have become very attached. I know that sounds odd but I just want to make sure there alright. Thanks for responding nobody else has. thanks again I really appreciate.

I have eggs rocking too!  Well, oly one, but that means the other 6 aren't far behind

A small flock of ducks (3 welsh harlequins and a rouen) a pair of american geese, a lovely anatiolian shepherd, and 10 ducklings ariving on march 18th!!!!!!
