TULSA area Cluckers

That is fine. Good luck to her. I am actually working on getting my line up to a good show quality. I have a new rooster that will be introduced to the flock in another week or so and then in April or so I will start hatching out some of his offspring.

Thanks for the pics...

I think I would like a pair of hens to add to my flock. Just to add some diversity among the brown eggs.

Please put me on the list :)

They are a new breed in the US, they are well established in the UK but they've only been here for about 4-5 years. They are a large fowl light breed, lay very well a large blue egg, auto-sexing chicks, and a crest. Love them! Egg color is similar to my Ameraucanas, but where my Ameraucanas only lay 3-4 medium eggs per week I get 5-6 large eggs per week for each hen. I would say they are no noisier than my other breeds, especially if you don't have a rooster. They are a little pricier (mine are $25 per day old female chick, $5 per male chick), but you are guaranteed sex and get oodles of large blue eggs. I have a wait list so let me know if you want any later in the spring.

If yours are show quality...

Since ours are for 4H projects we need the best quality we can get.

But the sad part is that the 4H sponsored livestock show this year does not have any classes for chickens or rabbits because they didn't have enough funds. :( Maybe next year.

PM me about the prices of your chicks please.

Oh.... You are not not too far from me. I live near the old Eastland Mall...

Howdy Neighbor!

Howdy to you, too! I drive past your neighborhood all the time then on the way to my sister's apartment and to church. 145th is my Lifeline LOL. I will put you down on the list and send you a PM when I have some available. I have orders for about 15 female chicks ahead of you, so it may be about a month or so before your number is up. I will PM you when it's time!

That's sad about the 4H funding. When our kids get a little older we hope to let them do chickens in 4H... hope it's back up in a few years!

What are you all going to do on this non-sunny day?

I guess I will try to catch up on housecleaning after I get the girls started on school work. :) Lord only knows I tracked in enough dirt from the garden to probably fill a small planting pot.....

Tonight I get to sit with hubby and plan/draw out our new coop :)

Have a great day everyone.

Work. Sad.
I do have a huge window to gaez out of. I might be the first person in my office to catch sight of a snowflake!
