I have two that have black on the legs and one that has all yellow legs. They were sold as straight run.

I am totally new to this, but have been reading a lot. From what I gather barred rock pullets are usually much darker than the fellas. Not sure about leg color, but I am interested to hear from those who know better!

Post some pics and we can give you some feedback.

The norm is for the females to have a darker wash on the front of legs compared to the males.

My Family:  3 kiddos, 1 husband
My Furry Friends: 3 dogs, 1 cat
My Pet Chickens: 2 barred rocks, 2 buff orpingtons, and 2 speckled sussex, and new this year, 2 Hatchery Amaraucanas! Weeee!

Generally speaking, baby female BRs tend to have a dark wash down the front of their legs.  They also have darker fuzz all over, and tend to have an either very small and tight spot on their head or no spot at all.

Males tend to have lighter legs, lighter overall fuzz, and have a large uneven white blotch on their heads.

Hope that helps!

They're a bit older, I'm thinking the first one is a girl (small head spot, dark legs) the other bird has an identical twin (minus leg color). Still think they are roos?
