Picked up some new brood stock, what do you think? PIC HEAVY

This is my new Aseel/Asil rooster that I am going to throw over my hen. This rooster is the LAST of the stock out of my family's game birds with his bloodines. Sorry the pics aren't very decent, taken with a camera phone after he made a 110 mile trip. He's in the quarantine pen by himself. According to his leg band he is 15 months old, weighed in at over 5lbs. Big boy! He is a wee bit underhandled with everything that has been going on, but he's relatively easy to handle. For an Aseel. Can't wait to put the hen in with him. Will get better pictures if I EVER find my camera.

 As you can see he is very wide set. Be warned, he is going through a molt.

These are my new Grays. They are penciled. The two older hens wing bands put them at 2 years of age. The two younger hens come in at 9/10 months. The rooster is somewhere between 9 and 13... I remember hatching him as a kid. Couldn't find the paperwork on his bloodlines in the book. He has one working eye.

"16 Red" - She was hatched May of 2010. Hatchmate "17 Red" in the back. Both of these hens have red wing bands, which makes them 1/2 spangled chested and 1/2 penciled. Not sure how he achieved this cross. 

These are the two younger girls. Wing bands are blue, numbered "5 Blue and 19 Blue". Hatched late July last year. Still have quite a bit of maturing to do.

This is my pair of hatch. I have four more hens to go pick up that are just as green legged as this hen. Unfortunately, it got dark and I still had to tie down my traveling pens. SO! I only got out of there with these guys.

Leg bands place the rooster at 8 and the hen at 1 going on 2 this summer

Really good pic of his blinded eye. It was gouged out as a 3 year old by one of the hens  he was penned with then.

Spangled Whites

These here are (if I remember correctly) specific to my uncles birds. Not sure what they were bred from, or anything like that. I know Clarets were used for some of the original bloodlines. The rooster is going on 3 and the hens are just now reaching laying age. Have to get new bands on the three hens, the old ones are a little tight. Yes, the rooster is debeaked. Not sure why, it's not in the books I picked up/haven't dug deep enough to find out.

Sorry they weren't facing me, they were excited to see water for the first time in several hours. Didn't give them water for the drive.

Thanks guys. Can't wait to start up the 'bators on the eggs from these guys. Minor improvements to do, but still in LOVE with them. 

Also, found out why the spangled white is debeaked. He's a butt... Rather aggressive to anyone / anything messing with his harem.

I'll get better pics, but I'm positive even though I didn't get any info on this boy. Uncle said take him, too. So I did.

His legs are banana yellow, he has the correct comb type and has that upright appearance. When I first saw him that was the first breed and only that crossed my mind. Uncle verified my thoughts as he went into his crate.

I love these Grey's, too. The rooster has always been one of my favorites on the yard and I was VERY excited to swoop him up.

Found out the hard way today why the white claret roo was debeaked... Picked him up to check his legs after a pen fight broke out between him and an escapee claret stag. That bottom beak is KILLER when you get pecked. Thankfully no birds were injured as I was home ( and the reason ) when the stag got loose. Orange leg bands ordered! More pics coming Friday, setting eggs probably sometime this week. The hens never stopped laying and are mid season peaking. Getting pretty well an egg a day from each of these hens.

Also found out I'll be inheriting all of his blues as well. I'll post pics after my next trip down of the rest of the stock I pick up.
