While i am sad for everything he went through, and the loss of his life, there may be more that was going on then revealed in that article. Did he just feel that desperate? Was it an accident? Was the explosion a signal o behavior instability that may have led to the overturning of the previous ruling?
To blow one's self up and the house they live in, is an extreme action and makes me wonder if it isn't just the outside people who pushed him to do this. He may have been prone to extreme behavior already.
I hope more details emerge. I would like to know what led up to such a desperate action. If he was unjustly and unfairly harassed over his chickens then those responsible should be held responsible for driving him to suicide.
You bet there was more going on. This started in 2009 over chickens and that city council hounded that man every single breathing moment they had. They tore up his yard, they vandalized his home, stole his firearms, bulldozed his yard, ruined his farm, killed his dogs. They flooded his home, they made up code violations putting him so far in debt there was no way he could save his home.
It was a witch hunt sanctioned by the city council. He couldn't even sell his house to get out. Every time he tried to do something to help himself there was some city official right there to fine him over it.
How sad that he felt that this was his only alternative.
