Moon Geese!

OMG, this is the craziest thing I have seen all month.

Quote:

"The year 1638 saw the publication of The Man in the Moone by English bishop Francis Godwin. In this utopian fantasy tale, humans travel to the Moon by harnessing a flock of specially trained, especially hearty geese, vacuum of space be ******.

The realities of physics haven't stopped artist Agnes Meyer-Brandis from training a flock of geese to someday fly to the Moon. Thanks to rigorous astronaut training exercises and plenty of acclimation to a crater-pocked lunar model, an invincible generation of astrobird should be ready for an expedition by 2024.

This is the Moon Goose Analogue project. This is their story."

And I have to agree with IO9 - it *is* kinda awesome.

Wow...those are some very talented geese. And those dandelions, I think I might have a few of those growing here.  I never realized what under achievers my geese are! hit.gif Oh. Wait! Their under-achieving-ness will keep them home with me. Never mind. big_smile.png

Which brings up the question:

How do you get lift under there wings if there is no air?

I do like the concept though, of a hitch of geese flying around pulling a little sleigh with an astronaut.  Very much like the 8 tiny reindeer.  Except not as fast.
