He doesn't have the right kind of comb for a Cornish.

Wendy, chemist, mama to 4 human children, a crazy Husky/Australian Shepherd cross dog, a cat, several fish, bunnies, 17 goats, and our ever growing flock of chickens, ducks, turkeys, and geese.

My oldest son is breeding BBS Orps! Looking for breeding stock!

maybe since the debate seems to be BLRW and Cornish, its a Cornish x with BLRW... From the few pics I've scene of cornish, that's what the head reminds me of... but I'm a newbie so I could be wrong...

1 wonderful little girl, her amazing dad, 1 dog, 2 cats, 3 goldfish, 2 silver laced wyandotte chicks, 2 buff orpington chicks... Waiting on my 10 other chicks and my 5 ducklings to be shipped!

This seems like a probable scenario. Now that he's feathered out more I can see the puffy wyandotte feathers on his back end, his legs are kinda skinny, he has the head shape of a cornish and comb of a wyandotte.

The remaining 6 of my original 7 barred rocks are 3yrs old and happily divided between a friend and my mom.
Laying: 2 Partridge Rocks, 1 Columbian Wyandotte and 2 Black Australorps. 14 weeks: 3 bantam Araucana.
Cowed to chicken math and sharing my bedroom with 8 BBS Ameraucana mixes.

His comb looks like Wyandotte. Not sure if he's mixed, but he is pretty. Was he from a hatchery? Maybe the coloring is a boy pattern for the blue laced red Wyandotte.

He came from Ideal. They have BLRW bantams so that has been my guess, but it sounds like he doesn't really fit the bill. I don't have any other Wyandottes so I can't compare. He also isn't acting like a boy at all.. but sounds like everyone is pretty certain on that!

At 12 weeks that's a BLRW boy for sure. My female at a year does not have wattles like that and her comb was black with no red until 20 weeks or more.

Wyandotte's are so very slow to mature. Mine at a year old still does not lay. However she sits in the box kicking her legs getting ready to lay, so maybe she's an internal layer.

He is beautiful. My favorite color of Wyandotte's. They do not sell that color locally here.
