Sitting at 9 now.  Been 9 for ages though with not many signs of anything else happening.   REALLY hope that's not it!  hopefully they're all just taking a break and will pop out overnight.     8 days is not long!  

Weird, I only paid £5 something for my shell.   Wonder if they have different prices for up here and down there?   Hmmm.

Final tally is 18 although one of them isn't doing too well so we'll have to wait and see how he gets on.   Very pleased though!

Thats a very good hatch big_smile.png. Hopefully the poorly one picks up a bit.. Is your shell a blue one? Mines a blue shell at £7.50 bloody rip offs lol.. Its really good so i dont mind. I got a little paddling pool at tesco too £2.99... At what age do you put the ducklings in water?

Yes it was the blue one.  Definitely 5 something, I should have got 2!  

 

I usually give them their first swim at 4 or 5 days in the bath with warm water.

Ok ive just turned the big 40! Apparantly life begins at 40!roll.png Going out for a nice meal didnt want a party lol. I showed my 16 year old daughter abbi your ducklings vicki and she cant wait now for ours. She's falling in love with yours lol.png

They are adorable! Hope your one starts to feel better!

I took the eggs off the turner Saturday morning. I should have done it Friday night. So hope it's okay. I haven't candled in a while so I am hoping for the best! They are due to hatch Monday or Tuesday. If any hatch at all. How loud are the pips? do you have to stand next to the incubator to hear them? I haven't heard a thing yet, though maybe its normal. I am so nervous I really hope I get at least 1 or 2!

2 cats, 1 dog, 5 black sex links, 2 reds, 1 speckled sussex, and 5 silkies, 2 plymouth barred rocks, 2 buff orpingtons, 2 austalorps, 1 deleware, 2 EE's, 3 Mutts, 2 mixed roos, 2 golden laced,2 silver laced, and 2 blue cochins and 15 betta fish (so far), 1 little sister.
