Raising Chickens in Kentucky

I am new to raising chickens. I just started this spring. To start off my coop, I chose to raise Silkies. They are the sweetest, gentlest breed. I have started off with 3 pullets and 6 chicks.They are growing every day.

 

I live in Mclean County, Ky. Looking to meet other chicken enthusiasts in my area.hungrychicks.jpgbabyRoo.jpg

I think this little guy is going to be a Rooster. Love his personality, and he is really gorgeous. We will see though, only time can tell.

1 aquatic turtle, 2 Kangals and 2 Grt Pyrs on 15 acres of joy.
