Well so far no huge egg today ... maybe cooling off for a few days. LOL.

Still don't know who laid it ... nobody walking funny. LOL.

I'll bet that was an "EGG SONG" to remember.

Just curious, is there a breed that lays eggs that size on a regular basis?

SAHM of 3, wife to 1 hard working hubby, 4 RIR hens, 2 BR hens, 1 NHR roo, 4 BO hens, 1 BSL hen, 2 Ameraucana hens, 1 Game/Buff rooster, 5 LBs, always have chickies and have lost count lol, 1 Blue Swedish duck, 4 Pygmies and 2 Great Pyrs with pups on the way! Life is good.

G'Day

Can you tell me what chickens lay blue and green eggs?  (I'm just new to all this).  As for the egg "OUCH" that would have hurt - she will probably need R&R and lots of TLC

The ones that lay blue and green eggs are usually just called "Easter Eggers" and thats usually what people list them as.   Sometimes hatcheries call them "Araucana".  But usually people advertise that they lay easter eggs if trying to get rid of them.  I have 3 and they're all great birds.

I birthed out twins that were locked together. Should have been caesarian but too late.

I totally know how that hen feels.
