Setting eggs tomorrow night, 3/29/12, anyone want to hatch with us?

If you have a forced air incubator you shouldn't have a hot spot as the air is circulating..... When do your eggs arrive??? I hatched eggs from Bargain .... I only had 6 out of 45 hatch and one died ..... It was heartbreaking. I have one of her Orps now a black ..... but not sure if I will keep it as I am over run with chicks now

Well the incubator I have is a hovabator 1586, It's sooooo old..... and as a matter of fact, I've got three of them.  The Elementary school where my daughter goes loaned them to me, said they've got loads of them that they're not allowed to use.  Way sad... anyway.  It's very still air, I am turning eggs by hand, and being careful for sure, more so now, but also have invested in three glass thermometers, taken the two plugs out of the bator and am hoping that the ceiling fan that is on may just circulate even a teency weency bit of air.  I'm trying to dry hatch as the humidity is such a crazy variable for me.  Eggs will be sent tomorrow....   I'm thrilled at the potential, and haven't lost any gusto for the process.  ESPECIALLY SINCE I WON 20 EGGS IN THE RAFFLE!!! 

Are you kidding me??  A total hatching loser like me??  Winning eggs??  It's a sign!!  It's a sign!!  I'm destined to hatch eggs this season guys... I just know it!!! 

I also won a gift card like you did... yippee for winning stuff. 

I'm certainly not over run with chicks but one can hope.

Can you modify the incubator and add an old computer fan? The still airs make great hatchers I hear. What a waste that the school can't use their incubators. That is ridiculous!!! I'm sti excited for you that you won eggs! My 4 Ventura county poultry show white silkies don't look to be white! What kind of breeder donates eggs and gives 3/4 infertile and the wrong color??? Yep me total looser.... With 4 silkie chicks
