This is what I would suggest doing. and keep her out of water while wrapped.

As for lowering the protein, I used Purina flock raiser for years from hatch till old age and never had angle wing in any of my waterfowl some say high protein others genetic . Purina is 20% protein.
I will have to get some pantyhose then because even though I used a tube sock (twice now) she has gotten both off. This morning it was rolled up under the feathers on her breast. It seems to stay for some of the day, but I don't know if she is pulling up from the back or if the other girls are assisting. If I can't get pantyhose to work, or she keeps getting it off, will she be ok if this isn't corrected? We have attempted 4 different ways in the last two days (with multiple reapplications)

Yes. It's really just a cosmetic thing. I'm sorry the sock trick didn't work. I feel bad for suggesting it.

Oh don't feel bad at all!! I just have a couple of houdinis on my hands (this little duckling and my bloodhound puppy!!) If I can't get the panty hose to work then I may just let her be. I don't want to stress her more than she needs to be. As long as its not going to hurt the other wing joints.

Hello all! An update on my little with angel wing. I wasn’t able to get her wrapped and keep her wrapped long enough to get her wing to correct. Yesterday I noted a few more of my girls flight wings look funny to me. Do these look like the start of angel wing to you? Are rolled oats safe to add to their feed to cut it a bit more? The guy at the feed store said oats might not be a good idea because they could get stuck?? I just want healthy ducks 🦆 😭

I think my ducks angel wing is due to improper incubation. She was the only one who survived out of the whole mess by the time they made it to the store. I might try the sock method, a friend of mine has some Velcro strips that are wide. I may try that first and see how it goes.
I saw that method as an option as well! Another one I saw was a t-shirt sleeve. If this wrap doesn't end up staying on for long, we may revert to an option like that. Would a sock be too tight around her? I saw some people saying that their birds lost their balance and fell over? Is that more of an issue with smaller/younger ducks? I'd hate for the others to pick on her. She's more of a timid girl and hangs back to watch most of
