I am so excited, my turkeys arrived this morning! Fifteen little peeps sitting in the brooder. I got a heritage minimum 3 breed assortment. So far I MAY have some bourbon reds, maybe 2 black Spanish, and maybe royal palms or midget whites. Oh I am giddy!

1 husband, 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 cat, 3 dogs, 6 ducks, 7 turkeys, too many chickens of all ages and stages, and bunches of fish... Do you wonder why I'm nutts?

I love the little hand in the second picture! Lovely poults! Where did you order them from? And when (How long did you have to wait?)

For whatever reason I'm having trouble posting today... Anywho, I ordered them from Meyer hatchery. They offer 15 with a guarantee of a minimum of 3 breeds and 20 with a minimum of 4 breeds. I ordered from Meyer because they are located in Ohio and I didn't want poults to be travelling far in March. As it turns out, they ship their turkeys out of New Mexico. Live and learn. Someone asked how long I had to wait for them. I researched and prepared for a year for these guys, but I placed my order in February for the March 27 hatch.
