Is my hen broody?

She has been in the nest box since yesterday afternoon. Every time i try to touch her she puffs up and makes a weird noise, but she hasn't tried to peck anyone so far. She is a almost 1 year old delaware.hu.gifThanks!

Sounds like it to me.

Chickens off and on for 25+ years and still learning.

Sure does sound like it.   Does she have a far away sort of stoned look?

 I can't really tell, but she is kind of distant looking.
