Very curious, how are you making the call that the pics above are roosters by just pics of the comb? Not questioning your call, just curious as I'm new to chickens.

The girls are growing. Their feathers are coming in darker and the bars are not nearly as prominent.

Ideal said a few hefty chicks to go in with the ones that I ordered(6). So there for I got 9 extra chicks and I do not want them at all.

This is "Punky Rooster" at a little over 3 weeks old. Did I get his name right? I know it's still early, but he's so much bigger than Beatrix, the other RIR-especially his comb and legs and his comb is quite pink already. They came from a batch of EE, Araucana, Marans, RIR mixed breed babies, but these two seem to be all RIR to my (inexperienced) eye.

I got the chick's 4 week mugshots. I'm positive Punky is a cockerel, and I'm pretty sure Beatrix is a pullet. I love watching them change and grow. These two are some of the least friendly chicks I have, but I'm still trying to get them to like me ;-)
