My daughter is entering her first fair and we decided to start out with chickens for the meat market. Can someone recommend me to a good website or if anyone is mailing. I usually never do mail but i need them soon. Thanks

Most of the hatcheries require a 25 chicks minimum purchase...

 

Welp hatchery is a good place to get Males only or straight run  ..the price you get includes shipping

 

Ideal poultry is good place to buy since they only require a $25 dls minimum purchase

this is good if you only need few chicks

 

Mcmurray hatchery is expensive I really dont get meat birds from them

 

Personally it dont matter were you get your birds from

 

what will make this birds show quality is the care you will provide

 

shelter and diet

Where are you located? I have roos to get rid of that are 6 weeks old that she might be able to use.

Our urban farm family consists of 1 dog, 2 cats, 10 chickens-3 black orpington, 2 ameracauna (1 blue and 1 black), 3 blr wyandottes (2 splash and 1 blue), 2 lavendar orpingtons, and a rabbit.

Most Tractor Supply and other feed stores have chicks right now, and every TSC I've been to has Cornish X meat birds.

The remaining 6 of my original 7 barred rocks are 3yrs old and happily divided between a friend and my mom.
Laying: 2 Partridge Rocks, 1 Columbian Wyandotte and 2 Black Australorps. 14 weeks: 3 bantam Araucana.
Cowed to chicken math and sharing my bedroom with 8 BBS Ameraucana mixes.

Well i had someone call me today and pick up the 30 i had that were unclaimed. Would you be interested in getting some next month? If this is time sensitive i could sell you the ten i was going to raise for myself from this batch.

Do you have any fertile eggs that I can buy to hatch in my incubator for my kindergarten class?  How much would they cost?  I need 18 eggs and I'm located in San Diego in Rancho Penasquitos/92129 zip code.
