Hey! from NC

Thread Starter

Hello all! I have been a lurker of this site since I raised my first batch of chicks about a year ago, and now that I am on round 2 I decided to join!

I definitely wasn't looking to add any more animals to this crazy farm of ours when my man and I were headed to our local TSC to get some horse supplies. I knew they had "chick days" going on, but wasn't interested in any more chickens (as our 2 girls are currently showering us with 12-20 eggs a week!). Well lo-and-behold, they had a mix of all different bantams(the first I have seen there), and I fell in love with the tiny fuzzballs...we all know what happens next  - we are now the proud parents of 6 assorted bantams (at least I know one is a cochin with the cute fuzzy legs)

So here I am, 6 new additions later. Besides the new babies, we are proudly owned by 8 horses, 6 dogs (3 of our own, 3 that were dumped on a highway and looking to re-home them soon), 5 cats, 6 ducks, and 2 hens.

I was born and raised in California and it took a while to get used to North Carolina, so it is nice being able to have all of my animals here on my own little farm.

I look forward to enjoying more of this community!

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
