Bobsdad's first Coop

We are just finishing our 4 X 8 foot coop which we built using the Witchita Cabin Coop design by Baldessariclan.  Because of our limited space we down sized it to meet our needs and the needs or our four chickens.  I believe we used all of the features of the

Witchita coop and used Baldessariclan's posted photo's to build ours.  The back side that is next to our fence is covered with plywood to help not to intrude on our neighbors.  Also is a photo of our bee's which we put in last year.  We have less than 1/4 acre of which 2/3 is taken up by house and driveway.  We are squeezing in the coop along with the bees, four raised bed vegetable gardens, an herb garden and two perennial gardens.  We will be adding about 3 inches of sand this week.

What a lovely set up.  Well done.  You will have four lucky birds.

Sorry but I did not use plans.  I did use the photo's from 'Witchita Cabin Coop' which shows all of the details needed to build it.

Check out the photos here.    http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/wichita-cabin-coop

I love the bee hive and the hive looks like it is in a great location. We have chickens and bees, too. It just goes to show that you don't need a lot of property to have a taste of farm life!
