Aha! I knew it!  I wonder how many chicken sitters Missouri has?

My husband has a dog & cat allergy, so we have one pet rabbit,  2 female cockatiels,  an older Barred Rock hen, 1 Langshan hen, over 2 dozen porcelain d'uccles, a dozen mille fleur d'uccles, and 11 Speckled Sussexes (1 male)   NPIP certified pullorum-typhoid-avianinfluenza free MO 43-711.

I could use one of these in Alabama so I can take my girls with me when we go back down.

I have a chicken sitter. This young man takes good care of my chickens when I need him too. My next chicken pen will be like my ducks avairy. It is wired all the way around. I don't have to lock them up at night, only the chickens. thumbsup.gif

This was a worry of ours living in suburban CT, but then sittercity.com I think actually listed quite a few. I had thought it was just for parents finding babysitters, but there's a pet section and it allowed searches by different types.

We've hired petsitters for our cats for years, and that was a big hump to get over. Now I'm sure we'll be petrified to leave our chick-children alone - we've nixed any vacations for the summer since the chicks are coming in June. We'll have to get them grown up and healthy before leaving them to 2x daily checkups. Sigh. Adding a human baby should be easy after this!
