Townline Easter eggers

Hi. I shared an order with another individual and i only took 3 EE's. One ended up being a rooster. The two girls took 37 and 40 weeks to lay. They can definitely teach you patience. Both lay pretty green eggs. They came from townline through tsc.

Oh, additionally, I don't have pictures but the typical chipmunk colors they had as chicks have turned into predominately gold and brown coloration as adults and they lay 5-6 eggs per week, on average, I would say.

I see Townline is still saying they have true Ameraucanas on their site when the bird pictured is not one. Here are my Townline EE's (I don't know why they lie to people it's so underhanded and I have no respect for any of these hatcheries that lie to their customers).

Below: This is my newest TLH Easter Egger that they marketed as an Ameraucana. A nice green egg from a blue and brown hen that just recently started laying. the brown is from my Buff Orpington.

Below: All three of these are from TLH. The middle is the same as the one above with different lighting. they look better on a cloudy day then when the sun is beaming down on them like this. It kind of washed their colors out. the colors of the birds vary. The large one is from the bird in my profile image. She's got that grey tan dusty colored body and a blue head. The middle is similar, except her head is more brown and orange, and the last has the best colors and stands out in the flock with her cream chest, dark body, and laced neck feathers.

Below: the small olive one is another TLH bird from my cousin's flock (both her chick and mine were bought in the same bin and my chick ended up laying the green egg in the top photo). The massive green egg next to it is from the same bird that laid the one to the far right in the above photo. My cousin was so excited that she had a green layer, and unfortunately not long after she started to lay something got her and killed her. Her last EE from TLH laid a light brown egg.

I love EE's, I really do. And many hatcheries are producing even more of a rainbow in the chicks coming out now, but I wish they would just be honest and say they're EE's and not Ameraucanas. People will still buy them because they're more fun and better layers.

Absolutely in love with my Townline EEs!

) We picked out a small test brood of 5 a couple years ago, and loved them so much we brought home 12 straight run this spring.

Quite a few of these birds are beardless, which is possibly my favorite quality!

My 3 original hens are gorgeous, huge, and lay the most lovely shades of green or blue eggs.

Stunning boy.....I wish now we had kept him!

Being new and pretty inexperienced, we thought this was a cockerel. Much to our dismay, the new owners informed us "he" actually turned out to be a pullet.

She's still the most lovely pullet I've ever seen since!

Just a few of the new chicks. Can't wait to see how they turn out!

Just wanted to post and update. 1 of our 2 Townline EEs have started laying! Pearl (the gray one) laid this tiny beautiful blue egg yesterday (22 weeks). She had been squatting for about 2 weeks before she laid. Peggy (the black one) just started squatting yesterday, so we should have eggs from her in a week or two, I hope!
