Issue with new baby duck!!

Well, I hatched a duckling on thursday night. Hes the only one who hatched, but is doing ok by himself.

His eyes have started to glaze over. And he now can't open them. His eyes dont ever close, or really open. They just glaze over. He opens them sometimes. But its like hes trying to sleep, and cant get em closed. Its so weird!

Should I worry? I really dont want to loose my baby! hit.gif
A small flock of ducks (3 welsh harlequins and a rouen) a pair of american geese, a lovely anatiolian shepherd, and 10 ducklings ariving on march 18th!!!!!!

He died hit.gif he was barley breathing, & I felt like he was suffering, so I kinda "smuthered" him . I couldn't see my baby like that...

Really sorry for your loss. 

Khaki & Rouen, 7 new baby ducks, 2 kids, a dog and a cat.

TIME is the best thing to spend on a child!
Always calibrate your hygrometer before you incubate!!

Home to Black East Indies, Mandarins, Speckled Sussex, Barred Rock, Golden Buffs, Welsummers, Ameraucanas, Black Australorp, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Two Weimaraners, Two beautiful daughters and a great DH who builds whatever I need!

Looking for ducks?  Please consider adopting rescued ducks.  There are many places and people who do rescues, but we are not allowed to post the links due to BYC regs.  So fire up your web browsers and find some sweet, grateful duckies.
