My Delaware is about 4 weeks old and something happened to this one-eating and drinking  but wont stand for long periods of time. The picture below is of the legs as I think it may have fallen and injured the legs....will they ever get better?  Not sure what to do with this one idunno.gif

It's hard to tell what's happening, there could be a number of reasons.  Does the chick look sick to you or is it still eating and drinking?

She looks kind of cow hocked/splayed legs/slipped tendon.

It's the shape that makes the breed, and the color that makes the variety.

eating and drinking without problem....just not standing for long periods of time and a little off balance when it walks.

Wasn't sure if I should let it keep going and see how things turn out or if this is an instance where it will never get better and needs to be put down?

It looks like splayed legs. You can make a splint out of a band-aid. Put the white part between the legs, wrap the adhesive part around and secure to the white part.

Good Luck!
