I've been on this site for awhile now but I don't think I've ever posted...I'm getting my chickens next week.  Sooooo excited.  Getting Orpingtons, not sure what color...I was planning on Buffs, but Lavenders are available right now.  Any difference in utility between the colors? 

 

Everyone thinks I'm insane for getting chickens but I cannot wait...been wanting chickens for the past 10 years.  A little introduction: I'm a single mom of 2 kids, 4 dogs, 4 cats, 1 snake.  I'm a pet groomer so animals are my business so that justifies the menagerie a little bit.  :)  I love this site and can't wait to really take part as an active chicken keeper.

You are definitelty NOT insane! :)

 

I don't think there's really much difference between Buff and Lavender Orps. Just the color. Lavenders are so pretty!
