Hi all,

My name's Angie, fairly new around here, but have been reading the forums for a few weeks and getting some excellent tips from you all! So thank you!

I live in Newcastle and about two months ago we bought four buff leghorn pullets who have been a wonderful addition to the family. No eggs as yet, but I hopefully soon. They're a little spoilt - we're in the process of building them a new super-coop and I've been working on some interesting and occasionally elaborate mash mixes for them - my partner thinks they eat better than we do some nights!

They should be about 25 weeks old, though from looking at other people's pictures they seem a bit younger and I think one of them's actually a rooster. I will be posting a couple of photos in the 'What breed or gender' forum for some help on that soon.

I am very excited to be looking after chickens again. We had some bantam hens when I was growing up, as a three year old apparently I would get into their cage and try and catch them.

Cheers,

Angie

Glad you've found the forum useful, and I hope things continue to go well with your chickens. thumbsup.gif

Thank you both!!

Fierlin - I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone say NSW trains were any good at all! Enjoy your trip, I grew up in Sydney, so will actually be back there myself this weekend to see my family.

They're better than Adelaide's, for sure. lol.png And take the train for half an hour here and you're at the end of the line, Sydney trips are much more interesting. tongue.png

Ah, who knows, we might cross on the street and not even know it. lol.png I love Sydney, my favourite place in Australia by far.
