I know... but I would be paranoid to hit baby by accident... If she opens up above pip... mostly likely hit air and have a better look at what's going on with baby... of course, if it were me... I'd be taking the whole fat end top of shell off asap.

My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 32 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 10 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).

Even peeling away shell where the baby has cracked it has its risks.  If baby is shrinkwrapped, you risk peeling the shrinkwrap as well, potentially pulling it off of a stuck baby.

right got it out but allowed in to get out off egg itself!!! hurray scary but its ok

I'd work on it anyway.  I assume since it is pipped externally so long ago, that the blood should have receded into the duckling at this point, and the odds of finding a bleeder lessoned.  Either choice poses risk, when the egg is running so far behind.  I'd do something to try to free it up a bit more for sure.

 

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

 

 

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

 

 

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

 

 

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

Looking for ducks?  Please consider adopting rescued ducks.  There are many places and people who do rescues, but we are not allowed to post the links due to BYC regs.  So fire up your web browsers and find some sweet, grateful duckies.
