So far, nothing in the traps.  I've rearranged my configuration & baited them w/ sardines.  This leads me to believe I'm dealing w/ a fox.  I haven't lost any of the wounded birds yet, but am still only cautiously optimistic.  I know poultry can regenerate a large amount of skins & my girls will have to do that if they're going to survive....

I'm rethinking my whole operation.  I plan to move further away from the woods, put up motion lights, and install hardware cloth. My neighbor also offered to extend his wireless fence on our property so his German Shepard could guard our flock too (he was raised w/ chickens, so he's not a  threat).

I'm waiting to do my 'improvements' b/c I wanted to get my predator, but if it's a fox, I might have a long wait!!

The other day my mom asked if I got her e-mail, I said "no, not yet" she looked disappointed, and said "Oh! I get it, you're too busy on 'backward chickens!" Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!
