Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

He was killed in her previous herd. The second, a palimno with a perfect heart on her flank she named Aphrodite. Amru was solid while his twin sister a piebald.

"Thank you. I miss their father, but he was killed by a rogue stallion trying to take over our herd. When the new lead stallion tried to kill me i escaped. I came here and have lived my life in peace. Kantu knows he could never pursue me into this herd. I have yet to find a new mate but will eventaully i hope. My young ones will need a father and protector."

Also the thought of replacing her dear dead mate was hard but she knew she must soon. Within the day most likely, with the predator on the loose.
