i have decided to try for a hatch. the only real reason i am is beacuse i happened to see my hen lay the egg so i already knew it was warm enough. i have a simple incubator set up but i just wanted to know about how long itt takes for an egg to hatch.

i have a small farm of multiple types of animals but my birds are my personal favorites, 3 aracauna hens, an aracauna rooster, a houdan hen and roo, one sebret hen, 7 ducks, and a turkey. planning on more birds in the spring including quail, geese, and some more hens.

21 days for chicken eggs.  But depending on how your temps stay could be plus or minus a day or two.  If you temps are a bit low could be a late hatch.  Bit too high could be a earlier hatch.

For chicken eggs it takes 21 days. Make sure you are turning them on day 1-19, then stop turning and leave them alone completely until they hatch. Keep in mind that there is a lot more to incubating eggs than jut putting them in the incubator. You need to maintain a certain temperature (99.5) and humidity level (30-50 for chicken eggs). You might want to look everything up to make sure you know what you are doing. Good luck :D

I've got 2 cats, Dyllen and Star. I have 17 chickens; 3 BLRW, 3 mutts, 2 EEs, 2 White Rock roosters, 1 RIR, 1 White Leghorn, 1 Red Star, 1 Golden Campine, 1 unknown hen, 1 Partridge cochin, and 1  Golden Polish. I also have 1 Swedish/Black Indian Runner laying on 8 eggs.
