Hi, I've been keeping chickens for a year now and I'm having so much fun! now my husband is getting more involved....we  started tending chickens as a way to become more self sufficient in our food sources...but we never knew how much personality these girls have!  I started with 4 girls, one died from egg yolk peritonitis, one killed from a fox and now we are back up to 5 chickens.  We were even inspired to build a new coop (to outwit that crafty fox) and it turned out great....I posted it to my profile pics, but really wanted it to show up under the Coop tab. Anyway...I love this website, very informative, it's usually the first place I turn to for answers.

Looks like a beautiful garden in your avatar! I'm growing to really love the sight of a really green lawn after living in Australia for over four years. tongue.png I hope you continue to enjoy the site and we see you round more! frow.gif

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
