Did my gander just mount me or attack me?

My gander is a huge healthy Embden. He hisses at me but has never tried to attack me, well perhaps bite my coat when I turn around. Yesterday I was squatting down to put some water into their jug and suddenly I feel him climb my back (I am 5'10") so he had to climb to my shoulders and grab the back of my hair My poor coatwith his beak. I stood up and he got off. Sheesh. Was that a mount or an attack? My coat back has 4 long cuts in it from his nails..luckily I was wearing one!

I have long hair if that makes a difference.

 

What do you think? What do I do about this?

Current: Rouen/black Swedish X, 1 Pekin duck, 1 Welsh harlequin duck, 1 Blue Swedish duck, 1 white Danish goose, and 1 tufted buff goose!

You have definitely just had a "date" and he didn't even have to buy you dinner!!! My gander tried this with me and I just picked him up and put him in his pen.  He was mortified but got the message.  Hope yours has a mate so he can bother her instead of you. Maybe it was your coat he was so attracted to.  Looks like it's filled with down.

Everyone got a good laugh from my story. I guess my gander saw me in a smallish position and decided to go to town. He has a White Chinese GF but maybe he likes brunettes?

That sounds kind of funny. I didn't know ganders would try to mount people. I don't think I like that too much and it would seem it would hurt. How much does your embden gander weighs?

It was a suprise. He is the biggest of the bunch, prob 25lbs.

My gander tries to do that to me he has a goose and she wants me to mate with her then him!! Crazy geese!!
