Day 23 Silkies

Thread Starter

I am hatching a batch of 30 Silkie eggs. They had been on an automatic turner until day 18, they had the right temp and humidity. We candled the eggs throughout the incubation and they were all fertile.  They have been on lockdown since day 18. They were chirping last night, and two have hatched today, with a few more pipping.  The other eggs have no movement.  What should I do? Just wait and see?

yes, just wait and see!  Don't open the incubator, don't want to lose your humidity......

Congrats and good luck on the rest of the hatch!!!  celebrate.gif

how long from pip to zip, no more action yet

The longest I've had from pip to zip was a day and a half. The chick hatched on its own fine.

Good luck!jumpy.gif
