Thank you i feel welcomed(:

Yes, I do have a Rooster but he has been seperated  from the hens for 2 and a half months now.

I don't think that's the case.. but maybe lice? How do you check for that?

and molting? i don't know because shouldn't they be losing feathers everywhere not just their behinds??

I am honestly not sure..

I am new to this.. idunno.gif

If their bums are bare, I suspect lice. Look closely at the bases of the feathers around the vent area for white clumps of lice eggs. The adults are active, light brown and about 3 mm long.

oh my..

Thank You for the info.

Is it dangerous if they have lice?

How do you get rid of them?

Dust them with sevin dust. Clean coop and dust everything (i.e. nest boxes, cracks ect.)  Then do it again in 10 days.

Good luck!

They sound like their molting. If so, they will grow their feathers back.

Okay so i cleaned out everything thanks for the tip!

I checked them pretty thoroughly and me and my family checked all of the hens and there is no sign of lice.

Their bums are just bare and have few patches of feathers that kind of look like fur.

I'll just have to wait and see.
