I opened the divider between the runs, and I opened the door inside the coop

After 2 1/2 weeks of the "old" girls next to the "new" girls, I finally opened things up and they are together.

 

There were a couple of short chases, but NOTHING like I expected. :-)

 

It will be interesting to see what happens at roosting time tonight....

 

I was so worried for nothing (?)

Sounds like you had a nice smooth integration thus far.  Post back after tonight to tell us how the roosting routine went.

I just added a hen to my flock. Surprisingly they all did great!

I'm glad to hear everything is going well! it can be a pain for all involved when the chicks are introduced too quickly, as I learned the hard way. lol.png Sounds like you did a good job, well done!
