I'm Losing Birds - Page 2

Same thing happening to me.  Mine were dropping like flies with very little warning.  I put Baytril in the water and didn't lose anymore.

One of my five, 4 year old hens looks a little droupy.  She sits, her feathers are all puffed out so she looks big.  Her comb droups and is slightly off color.  Yesterday, she looked like she had trouble swallawing, just a kind of extra movement of her head and neck.  Today I held her and felt around, everything feels normal.  Tell me if you know anything I should look for or change in her enviroment.  Thanks  Lenore

Hi and welcome to BYC.  Sorry your hen is not feeling well.  Are her droppings normal?  Is she laying normally? Is she eating and drinking? Moving around much at all?  Has she been dewormed and checked for lice/mites?  Sorry for all the questions but you'll have to rule out the more obvious possibilities first.  It just can be really hard to pinpoint what's going on sometimes.
