Anyone out there with Blue cayugas?
I have 6 black ones, but got a blue ducklings from one of the eggs!
I am thinking that maybe my blue swedish drake snuck in there as the egg this little girl hatched out of was definitely cayuga (it was black).
Here is a picture. The other swedish I've hatched all had more pronounced bibs which leads me to think she is pure cayuga. I am still learning the genetics, and I'm pretty sure you can't get a blue from 2 black ducks, right?
So confusing! I suppose I'll have to wait for her to feather to find out for sure, but I just wanted to get other's opinions
