I agree with Amarius, get your roo take him out and leave him in a cage alone for a few days, try three days so the girls can get all their problems worked out first.
Make sure the hen is not still bloody. Your friends are right, the sight of blood gets them all excited and they want to peck at it. There for drawing more blood. I had this happen to one of my hens when i first put he rin with the flock, my roo hated her. He felt like she was an outsider. Took him away for three days, he was depressed but other then that fine. The hens worked it all out and once they were fine i put him in and he was ok with her too. When you are mixing them together though watch carefully.
