Hello, I am glad I found this site, but it is rather addictive. I was recently laid off and have been watching all of the stuff on TV about pink slime and other genetic alterations and decided it was time to start becoming self sufficient on my nine acres, as well as, trying to make money. Anyway this site has given me great ideas to utilize things just lying around here to get my chickens started. So I am off to TSC to get my first chickens.

Silver Laced Wyandotte's, Silkies, Ameraucana's, Easter Egger's, Belgian d'anvers, Leghorns, California Whites, Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Black Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, one Black Jersey Giant rooster, Guinea's, Ducks, and one Sweetgrass turkey tom.

Thank you for the welcome. Trying to figure out how many pullets to start with, think I have the breed choices figured out.

Always calibrate your hygrometer before you incubate!!
