Do I have Frizzles? Well, a few...... actually only about 35 here that are Frizzled and some will be sold when they grow up a bit more.

What are the genetics of the colors of these two birds. Is the top bird a splash?

I have a black frazzled cockerel that I would like to find a show quality pullet/hen to breed him to. Am I limited to the blue/black/splash colors?

What color is Shazam? What are the genetics of his color?

I'm looking to get a blue or splash smooth-feathered pullet or hen to breed to my black frazzle. Can you recommend somewhere to buy them from? I live in south central Texas and would be prepared to drive a fair distance to get a show quality pullet or hen. I don't have an incubator other than a bunch of Silkies who have never set eggs before.

I don't have a roo for my Frizzle Bantam Cochin hen. I don't think the roo I have recognizes that she's a chicken??? *smh*
Anyway, if anyone's giving away Cochin Bantams in the Deep South, I have a white hen and I'd like to add some color.
 
Shazam is a Mille Fleur. I created my own Mille Fleur bantam Cochins and then added in the Frizzle from some of my MF that showed a bit of blue. I did not want blue in the MF but they look good on Frizzles. I put Shazam back with MF girls I did not like for my breeding program but knew would work well with him. And I have created some awesome offspring that way.

Rebecca Ross just sold a bunch of her birds but other than her in TX, I have no idea of anyone that has any for sale.

My Hot Steel produces the beautiful blues and splash in the Frizzle. There are other Frizzle hens in the pen with him but they were on eggs at the time I took this photo.
