. The link doesn't work for me either. Are you linking "My photos" or a individual photo?

I have one like that too. Was it labeled as a red pullet?
I'm thinking mine is either a sex link or other red breed. I'm just a beginner and don't know lots of chicken breeds, best bet is to see what it looks like when it grows up.

We got those in at work this week as well. They came in assorted pullets, I'm thinking they're a type of sex link... we got 75 of them! Hopefully someone can figure it out, 'cause I was sure stumped.

Yes, they were labelled as assorted red pullets that lay brown eggs. I have looked at all of the chicks at McMurray, and these don't look like any of the regular breed chicks. I was thinking maybe red star, but the stripes seem to indicate something else. I really wanted to order chicks from a hatchery, but I thought I'd save shipping and get these. Now I kind of wish I'd placed the order, because I like knowing what kind I have. Haven't had chicks in a while, though, so should be a fun year.

Thanks.

Those definitely look like Gold Comets to me! I bought the exact same ones at Tractor Supply, and after about three hours of researching what they were, I came to the conclusion that they were, indeed, Gold Comets. Gold Comets have that signature "brown chipmunk" stripe down their back. Enjoy your chicks!

Don't think if you order from a hatchery you'll know what you're getting, I ordered Barred Rocks and Cuckoo Marans, to me they look the same, black click, yellow belly, dash of color on the head. Took me a while of checking beaks to figure which was which.

By George, I think you've got it!!! Thanks a lot. I never would have found that on my own. Well, now I'm a bit disappointed because I wanted a sustainable flock, and these are hybrids. :( I feel that they should have been labelled better. Thanks for your help.

Well then lol. Now I know what one of two of my pullets are. Dork at the feed store told me that was their breed! (I took agg sci in high school. Didn't fool me lol!) My other one is black with a white spot on her head.
