Such an exciting day.  3 have hatched and there are 3 pips out of 15 eggs so far.

Without going back and re reading I am not sure what day you are on I have had late chicks hatch on day 23 so I might wait.  You could also try candeling them and look for movement or float test the non pipped ones. I still have one that has internally pipped and is showing tiny bits of movement when I candled it so I float tested it just to be sure I was not imagining it and it is moving a litle not much though.  If yours pipped and died after it does sound like high humidity issues I have had some hatches like that.

At the beginning of Day 20..... No signs of anything, no cheeps, no pips, no nothing....... I am not optimistic!!!

I didn't have anything at all on day 20 morning.  One peep at 9:00pm.  I'm in the middle of 21and I have 4 and at least 2 pips out of 15 total.   They seems to come all at once.

I just checked on the eggs. One chick that was in a pipped egg is dead, but I seen movement from another piped egg so keeping my fingers crossed. This is actually the day they were supposed to hatch, but the four that did hatch started on day 18 of incubation.

Someone died so you wouldn't have to, have you said thank you?

So far I have 23. 2 more pips in the incubator one. 1 died in the hatcher the one with the high humidity. It zipped all the way around.. but made a big hole with the shell off and alot of membrane showing. the membrane looked dried, but not shrink wrapped or anything. the humidity was still at 80% so must have just been too weak?  I would have probably helped it had I noticed but I wasn't home or asleep. I saw it was zipping or could have been completely zipped not sure this morning. I just peeked in saw it checked the temp and humidity on both and left. I came back, checked things a little closer and it was dead. So it may have zipped during the night and was already dead this morning. Who knows! Oh and this was the one that was taken straight from the fridge and put in so that may have something to do with it too. None of those eggs have hatched or pipped yet. I had 3 of those.

There are 6 eggs left in the incubator, 2 pipped. 1 I'm pretty sure won't hatch cause I marked it with a D for dead on day 18. but just put all I had left in lockdown.

2 left in the hatcher, no pips.

atlast a shimmer of hope! Maybe the early hatches, started incubating before you actually put them in the incubator?

Oh and 5 of the chicks hatched are those naked necks.. I'm sorry but they are so ugly!  Or maybe they are so ugly they're cute? I haven't decided.

taking a little poll here, Who likes NN's?

Tomorrow in day 21 for me and the girls.  It's so nerve racking!  I def. don't have enough patience for hatching eggs,LOL. pop.gif   I can't wait to get home from work to see if there is any action in the hatcher.......

I think they're so ugly they're cute!  I like weird looking things....

Things are starting to get crowded in my 'bator.  It's an octagon 20, so not really much room for the little ones.   They're starting to look very fluffy.  I probably won't do anything till this evening at the earliest.  There's still some pips that I can see.
