hi just become a member and love it. I had an allotment for about 3 years now and going to put some hens on my plot got my coop and a few more bits but not sure what sort of hens to put in i want some really good layers any ideas please.

Husband - Eric, 4 Daughters - Shamera, Piper, Jocelyn & Tilly, 3 Dogs - Hank, Zangar & Penny, Cat - Junior (Mentally Handicapped) and 3 Chicks- Nugget, Mumble & Cinnamon.

If you want good layers, pick sex links. They're bred so that they'll lay all year round, every day. I've had them for almost four years now, and they're fantastic! You can buy them at almost any feed store. Good luck, and enjoy your chickens. big_smile.png

Hi!welcome-byc.gif Sex links(Red/Black star, Gold,etc.) and Australorps are some great layers. Have fun with your chickens when you get them!smile.png
