Sexing week old chicks

Is there any way to tell if you are getting a hen or roo?? We are going to get a couple more chicks tomorrow, and we can't have a roo. We are going to get a red/blue laced Wyandotte and I want to make sure I can keep it.

Thanks for the help and feedback! smile.png

SAHM with two great boys, and the best husband ever.

1 Rhode Island Red, 2 Easter Eggers, 1 Leghorn, 1 Silver Spangled Hamburg, 1 Light Brahma, 1 polish, 1 buff Orpington and 2 Wyandottes (1 GL, 1BLR) And 1 barnyard special that seems to be brahmaish (the one and only egg that hatched in our science experiment)

dreaming of a bigger place and more girls......

I've never had Wyandottes before but I don't think you can until they become older and features become more obvious.
