Our first flock was fed Countryside Organics and they did great. We supplemented with their eggs, green leafy veggies, oatmeal etc. The present flock was fed Purina and the same supplements until we saw a definite difference in growth and health. The girls are on a local grain mill food now and are doing better. If cost was not a factor I would make my own or definitely feed Countryside Organics. Can't swear that the food made a difference between the 2 flocks because other factors are at play but organic and homemade is the way to go for 2 legged and 4 legged animals - humans included!
