I have a chick that pipped a small hole and hasn't moved for about 8 hours. Should I help it out? - Page 2

Don't feel bad, some chicks just don't have the will to survive. I never help out until at least 24hrs after pipping. When they pip the chicks then start absorbing the yolk. That is what they will need to survive on for 72 hrs. You can kill them if you help too early. hugs.gif

Both are doing fine,the neck on one was bent for a time but is fine now.Will move them to the brooder in awhile
